Father & Son Project · West Vancouver
Built on experience. Carried through generations.
A family-run roofing company, a waterfront home, and the first blue flat roof in West Vancouver — filmed by the father-and-son crew that built it.
Filmed by our father-and-son crew on site. No stock footage.
The Story
Two generations. One roof.
Pro Torch Roofing has been a family-run company for 25 years. Most of what we know about flat roofs was learned on the roof, one job at a time, and passed down the same way — which is why this project mattered to us more than most.
The home sits on the West Vancouver waterfront, with a roof visible from every deck and window. The owners wanted more than a dry building — they wanted a roof that looked finished. We installed a 2-ply SBS torch-on system with a blue granulated cap sheet, custom-bent metal flashings from our own shop, and liquid-applied detailing at every transition. It was the first blue flat roof in West Vancouver.
Father and son worked the job side by side and filmed it as they went. What you see in the video is exactly how we build every roof: no subcontractors, no shortcuts at the parapets and skylights, and the same standard whether the roof is on a landmark hotel or a family home.
What Carries Through
The things we don't change.
Our own crew, every roof
The people who estimate your roof are the people who install it. No subcontractors, no hand-offs.
Two plies, no exceptions
Torch-applied SBS base and granulated cap sheet on every flat roof, with reinforced flashings at every parapet and penetration.
Metal from our own shop
Fascia, cap and counter-flashings measured on site and bent in Burnaby, so the details fit the first time.
Proof, not promises
Drone photos of the finished roof, a written scope and a warranty — for your records and the next owner's.
